Kata Kerja Beraturan (Regular Verbs)
Namanya saja Regular, ya berarti kata kerja mengalami perubahan secara teratur. Regular Verbs yaitu kumpulan kata kerja dengan perubahan dari verb1, verb2, verb3 ditambahkan akhiran –d atau –ed.
Apabila kata kerja berakhiran abjad vokal (juga disebut abjad hidup) AIUEO maka perubahannya ditambah akhiran –d. Contohnya kata kerja bake bermetamorfosis baked dan kata kerja love bermetamorfosis loved.

3. Kapan Menggunakan Kata Kerja Bahasa Inggris Verb 1, Verb 2, Verb 3 dan Verb-ing
Pada kedua tabel pola kata kerja di atas, kau sanggup melihat 4 perubahan kata kerja bahasa Inggris yaitu V1, V2, V3 dan V-ing. Kapankah kita menggunakan masing-masing kata kerja tersebut? Kita bahas satu per satu yuk.
3A. Kata Kerja Bahasa Inggris Verb 1 (Infinitive)
Kata kerja bentuk pertama yaitu Verb 1 yaitu kata kerja paling sederhana di antara yang lainnya. Kata kerja ini disebut juga Infinitive atau Base Form yaitu bentuk dasar. Kapan kata kerja bahasa Inggris Verb1 digunakan?
Kata kerja bahasa Inggris ini dipakai dalam beberapa tenses dan jenis kalimat yaitu:
- Simple Present
- Simple Present Future
- Simple Past Future
- Imperative Sentences / Kalimat Perintah

3C. Kata Kerja Bahasa Inggris Verb 3 (Past Participle)
Kata kerja bahasa Inggris bentuk ketiga disebut juga Past Participle. Istilah paling simpel disebut Verb 3. Kata kerja Verb3 dipakai untuk menyatakan acara yang telah dilakukan pada masa lampau.
Apa ada di antara kalian tahu verb3 dipakai dalam tenses apa? PERFECT! Ada 4 tenses menggunakan kata kerja bentuk ketiga yaitu Present Perfect, Past Perfect, Present Future Perfect, Past Future Perfect. Selain itu, kata kerja verb3 juga dipakai dalam Kalimat Pasif (Passive Voice) semua tenses. Berikut yaitu contohnya.
- She has taken a bath. (Present Perfect)
- Mother had cooked dinner when we went home. (Past Perfect)
- The kids will have slept by 11 p.m. (Present Future Perfect)
- Lucile wouldn’t have finished her task if she had gone to the party. (Past Future Perfect and Past Perfect)
- A book is read by Janice everyday. (Kalimat Pasif Simple Present)
- A beautiful artwork was done by her yesterday. (Kalimat Pasif Simple Past)
- You are being called by Beni right now. (Passive Voice Present Continuous)
- A new bike has been bought by my father. (Passive Voice Present Perfect)

3D. Kata Kerja Bahasa Inggris Verb-ing (Present Participle)
Mengubah verb menjadi jenis kata kerja bahasa Inggris Verb-ing memang terlihat simpel banget. Hanya menambahkan akhiran –ing saja. Tapi bahwasanya ada sedikit hukum dalam mengubahnya menyerupai take bermetamorfosis taking, sit menjadi sitting, dan lie menjadi lying.
Kapan kita menggunakannya? Setelah memilah-milah tenses yang dipakai V-ing, saya terkejut alasannya kata kerja bahasa Inggris ini paling banyak digunakan. Yap, ada 8 tenses menggunakan Verb-ing dalam pola kalimatnya. Selain itu, V-ing juga dipakai dalam Gerund yang berperan sebagai kata benda. Pembahasan Gerund dibahas dalam artikel berbeda ya.
Semua tenses yang ada kata CONTINUOUS menggunakan kata kerja verb-ing. Perhatikan pola kalimatnya.
